Rooms are displayed to give a lived-in atmosphere including a bedroom with furniture designed by William Burges (1827-1881). The adjoining gallery has outstanding collections of ceramics, glass and watercolours and prints, and Thomas Lester collection of Bedfordshire Maltese lace.
